Lifegoals: Goalsmithing

edgeProverbs 20:5 (NIV) The purposes of a man's heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding draws them out.

1- Goals brings
intentionally to our future.
2- Goals improve our focus.
3- Goals
inspire our faith.

#Goalsmithing in the Kingdom
#1. Prioritize

Matthew 7:24-27 (NLT) 24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

1- Commanded to Love God(Matt 22:37)
2-
Commissioned to Advance the Kingdom(Matt 6:19, 28:19& 20)

“God ins’t trying to fit into your plan he is fitting you into his.”

Most important pattern in your life: Relationship with Jesus!
How are things with Jesus?

“Behavior is a byproduct of our relationship with God.”
January 20- 2 chapters a day.(Matthew, Acts, & Galatians)

#2. Live with Purpose
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) For we are God's workmanship (poetic masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
“I am a person of God therefore He is my primary purpose.”
“If we don’t live with intention then demands will control our attention.”

#3. Develop a Plan

1. Pray
2. Ask questions
3. Write down your goals
4. Find accountability
5. Leave some room

Proverbs 16:9 (NLT) We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.

6. Believe God & Get to work

Psalm 32:8-9 (NLT) “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. 9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”
