Fascinate- Gripped By Love

Mark 9:15 (NIV) As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

Ephesians 3:16-19 (NIV) I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Psalms 42:7 Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.


Psalms 27:4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

“The beauty of God cannot be revealed in one setting, one year, or even a lifetime it takes eternity to grasp the beauty of God.”

The Power to Grasp…
1- Rooted in Love
1 John 4:19 (NIV) We love because he first loved us.

Psalm 92:12-15 (NIV) The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
2- Established in love

Psalm 16:8
I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure.

Hebrews 12:28 (NLT) Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.

WORSHIP IN THE CHURCH

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150:6

How are we worshiping inside the church?

1. Thanks and Praise
Psalms 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!

2. Reverence
Psalms 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!

3. Singing
Psalms 66:4  All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah


“If you can’t worship Jesus in the church, you won’t worship him out of the church.”



WORSHIP OUTSIDE THE CHURCH

How do we extend our worship after church is over?

1. Giving Honor
My mouth is filled with your praise,declaring your splendor all day long. Psalm 71:8

Hebrews 13:15 “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.” You are the only church some people will ever see.
2.Treatment of Others Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. James 3:10 The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service.” Billy Graham 3. Our Thoughts

Hebrews 13:11-16 Under the old system, the high priest brought the blood of animals into the Holy Place as a sacrifice for sin, and the bodies of the animals were burned outside the camp. So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood. So let us go out to him, outside the camp, and bear the disgrace he bore. For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Tone of Psalms 24
1- The Nature, Strength, & The awe of God-
“The Earth is the Lords” “Who may ascend?” How mighty he is, can anyone really connect with him”

2- The Righteous Can Approach him
Genesis 32:30
(NIV) So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."

3- The righteous open gates
“Lift up your heads…all you gates”

4- The Result:
He comes in. With Glory, With Strength, Establishing his identity & authority.


The King of
GLORY.
2 Corinthians 2:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.


”When the veil of intimacy is lifted. The gate of dominion/authority is lifted.”

“When His Identity is Established so is his authority.”


Lifting the gate
1- Fixing our Gaze
Psalm 24:7 (NIV) 7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
“The Gate is lifted when our gaze is set.”

Colossians 3:1-3 (NIV) Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

2- Faith filled praise.
The spirit Praise precedes the tangibility of victory.
“Victory belongs to those who know they are the Lords and who walk in a spirit of celebration.”


Psalm 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Isaiah 61:3
To provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Fascinate- Increasing Glory

Mark 9:15 (NIV) As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

The Glory of Jesus it caused people to be overwhelmed & it fascinated them.
John 1:14 (NIV) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen(we beheld) his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Colossians 1:19 The fullness of God dwelt in Jesus.

Exodus 33:9-23 (NIV) As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses. Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to his tent. The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,' but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name and you have found favor with me.' If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people." The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?" And the LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name." Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."


Glory: Kabod- The heavy weight of God.

Encountering the Glory….
1. Starts with Desperation…
“We will see a greater level of the Glory when we stop by living on the fringes of what he permits and go after what he blesses.”
2. Nurtured by Transformation

WE WERE TRANSFORMED TO CARRY THE GLORY OF GOD.
Isaiah 43:7 (NIV) Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”


2 Corinthians 3:7-18 (NIV) Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.


3. Produces Amplification-
Ever Increasing

Habakkuk 2:14 (NLT) For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD.
